Festive Home Spun Sheep
Festive home-spun sheep are the perfect touch to any country holiday decor!
These little beauties were hand-crafted at Dalby Farm! Adorable on any shelf or table, our home-spun sheep will add cheer no matter where they are placed. Created from wood, felt and yarn, these sheep will last for years and will withstand many holidays for years to come.
By adding some home-spun sheep to your nativity scene, you can create a realistic look. Sheep were a big part of life back then and, along with donkeys and camels, were part of the group of animals in the nativity. As a result, I have sheep as part of my holiday decor; in fact, I have a small 'flock' standing outside of my manger. The muted look of their 'wool' makes them a nice addition to the grouping.
A unique and fun gift idea but be sure to get one for yourself too!

These home-spun sheep look like most sheep in the barn! A sweet black face, ears and legs create a nice contrast to her gray brown and off white fleece. Adorned with two green foil leaves and a red foil poinsettia flower on the side of her neck, she is decked out and ready for the holiday season!
Interestingly, the design of the sheep was made to resemble one of our first sheep here at the farm; her name was Hannah and she lived with 2 of our pygmy goats Montgomery and Mariah! We got her early on when she was a lamb and the kids were small. She was a sweet, gentle ewe and spent many years with us on the farm. Because every home-spun sheep was hand-crafted, each has a uniqueness of their own, which adds to their charm! You can say they're the same, yet unique!
